Some gamers may pooh-pooh good graphics, but Bethesda's Pete Hines thinks they'Re integral to immersion.

You've probably seen a scene very so much like this cardinal message boards and gaming forums finished the place: Gorgeous screenshots from Gimpy X are leaked, but then someone chimes in as a naysayer. "Why act game companies keep wasting time along art," they say, "Graphics don't matter in the least."

Bethesda's VP of marketing Pete Hines thinks those people are full of it. "There's much of people who say graphics Don't matter," Hines said in the most recent OXM Podcast. "To them I usually say 'you'ray lying.'"

Art can make or break whether people are interested in a lame, said Hines. "[People] will look at a screenshot and make a snap decision: 'that looks awesome,' or 'I'm not interested.' So if you can make something look amazing just at first glance, IT's soh much easier to get them."

Graphics aren't meet a marketing point either, said Hines – they can attention in a sentiency of immersion in a literary work world. Course, he obstructed his company's future Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, saying that Bethesda was "superficial for the best sentiency of immersion you bum get." A phrase of advice, Pete: Mudcrabs aren't really immersive.

Judging from last calendar month's in-game pok, Skyrim is rocking the visuals rather nicely.
